Who We Are

Self-e-Tape is operated by Philip Riccio ("we," "us," "our"). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Self-e-Tape mobile application and website (selfetape.com).

What We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account (via Apple Sign In), we collect:

• Your name (as provided by Apple)
• Your email address (or Apple's relay email if you choose to hide your email)

Scripts and Recordings

• Scripts you import are processed on your device only. We do not upload, store, or access your scripts on our servers.
• Video and audio recordings are stored on your device only. We do not upload, store, or access your recordings unless you explicitly choose to share or export them.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app:

• Feature usage frequency
• App crashes and error reports
• Device type and iOS version

We do not collect:

• The content of your scripts
• Your audio or video recordings
• Your performance data

Residuals Program

If you participate in the Residuals Program, we collect:

• Your referral code usage
• Earnings and payout information
• Payment details (processed securely through Stripe)

Email Signup

If you join our mailing list, we collect your email address and optionally your name.

How We Use Your Information

• Account management: To manage your subscription and app access
• App improvement: Anonymous analytics help us fix bugs and improve features
• Communications: To send you updates about Self-e-Tape (only if you opt in)
• Residuals Program: To track referrals and process payments

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your personal information
• We do not use your data for AI training
• We do not share your information with advertisers
• We do not access your scripts, recordings, or creative work

Data Storage and Security

• All script and recording data stays on your device
• Account data is stored securely on Supabase (US East region)
• Payment processing is handled by Stripe and Apple (we never see your full payment details)
• We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Apple Sign In: Authentication
• Supabase: Account data storage
• RevenueCat: Subscription management
• Stripe: Residuals Program payments
• ElevenLabs: Text-to-speech for AI reader voices
• SendGrid: Email communications

Each service has its own privacy policy and data handling practices.

Your Rights

You can:

• Access your data by contacting us
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time
• Request a copy of your data

Children

Self-e-Tape is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
